The rules for using the site and buying Premium.
Premium is sold by EasyWebSystems (sole proprietorship, owned by Martin Steen Nielsen), company no. (CVR) 31622204, Grønnegade 4, 4800 Nykøbing F, support@nielix.net. Nielix is a self-hosted media server. Premium is a subscription that unlocks more features in it.
Premium runs month by month (or year by year if you choose that) and renews automatically until you cancel. The price is the one shown on the site when you bought. Your price does not change as long as your subscription runs. If you cancel and start a new subscription later, the price shown on the site at that time applies. If you start again within 30 days after your subscription ended, you keep your old price.
You cancel yourself in the Stripe customer portal under Subscription. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period, and you keep Premium until then.
You get a key for your server. The key is personal, covers every user and device on that one server, and must not be shared. See the fair use page. The key expires shortly after your paid period unless the subscription is renewed.
Nielix contains no films, series, music or channels. You are responsible for having the right to what you put on the server or point it at. I cannot see and do not check your content.
As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the purchase, that is from the day your subscription starts. You do not have to give a reason. You withdraw with the button Withdraw purchase (14 days) under Subscription or by writing to support@nielix.net. You can use the model withdrawal form on the Right of withdrawal page, but you do not have to.
The key can be used right away, and you can start using Premium before the deadline has passed. I have chosen to keep it simple: if you withdraw within the 14 days, you get a full refund within 14 days, to the means of payment you used. The subscription is cancelled, your access ends and the key for your server becomes invalid. The right of withdrawal does not apply to purchases for business where a company or VAT number is given.
After the 14 days the subscription runs to the end of the period, and paid periods are normally not refunded. If Premium does not work as promised, write to me and we will find a solution, and your statutory consumer rights apply unchanged. You can always cancel so that nothing is charged for the next period.
I run the site alone and aim for high uptime, but cannot guarantee it. The server can carry on without a connection to the site, so a pause at my end does not stop your playback. The software is provided as it is, and I am not liable for loss of data or indirect loss unless the law says otherwise.
I may change the terms. Material changes are announced in reasonable time. Danish law applies. If we disagree, you can complain to the Danish Center for Complaint Resolution or use the European Commission complaint portal. Questions: support@nielix.net.
